How the 48-Hour Matching Process Works
Our free matching service for Detroit families uses a short care form, screens caregivers for dementia care experience, sends 3 to 5 video profiles within 48 hours, and lets you watch each caregiver's video interview before deciding whom to meet. You stay in control of who is invited into the home. We do not send a caregiver to meet your family until you have watched the interviews and chosen whom, if anyone, you want to meet.
The sequence is meant to be simple when you are already managing work, household tasks, and a relative's changing needs. You describe the care you want, we return a small set of profiles, and you decide after you have seen each person speak.
Fill Out a Short Care Form
You start matching by completing a short care form that describes your relative, the home, and the help you need. There is no fee to submit it, and it does not lock you into a caregiver, a weekly schedule, or a long contract.
Include the details that actually shape a good match: preferred language, usual wake and sleep times, mobility, pets, other people in the house, and whether you need daytime visits, overnight coverage, or 24-hour live-in care. If you want companion care, personal care, memory care at home, respite care, or hospital discharge care, say so on the form so the profiles reflect that request.
You do not need a medical diagnosis from us to complete the form. Share what a typical day looks like, what has become harder, and what would make the next week safer and calmer at home.

If the first group is not right, say so. You can describe what was missing (schedule, language, comfort with personal care, or overnight work) and ask for another set of profiles.
Watch Each Caregiver's Video Interview Before You Meet
Families watch each caregiver's video interview before deciding whom to meet, and the video interview is the proof. You hear how the caregiver talks about dementia care experience, meals, bathing, wandering concerns, and working inside a family home before you share your address or set a visit.
Only after you have watched the interviews do you choose whom to meet. That order protects your relative's privacy and saves you from hosting strangers you have never seen speak. If you want a second family member to review the same videos, you can do that before anyone comes to the door.
