Paying for care
Care can be paid privately, or partly or fully through other routes, depending on the person's situation:
- Medicaid waivers, which in many states pay for care at home
- Long-term care insurance
- VA Aid and Attendance, for veterans and surviving spouses
- The Medicare GUIDE Model, which can pay toward respite
Questions about pricing
What does in-home dementia care cost an hour?
Across the 20 cities we serve, the rates we quote run from $20 to $42 an hour. The rate in your city depends on the local market and on the care needed.
Is there a fee for matching or for the caregiver profiles?
No. Matching and the caregiver video profiles are free, with no obligation. You pay the hourly rate only for care you choose to start.
Will there be extra charges later?
The rate, the hours and anything charged on top are set out in writing before the first visit. If a line is missing, ask for it before care begins.
How are the monthly figures worked out?
Hourly rate times hours a week times 4.33, the average number of weeks in a month. Live-in and overnight care are often priced per shift or per day rather than per hour.
